A Muscatine County man has been sentenced on sex abuse charges, according to a news release from the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office. George Wesley Bishop II, 45, appeared in Muscatine County District Court on September 22 for sentencing after being found guilty on multiple counts of sex abuse related charges on July 21. He was sentenced to a maximum of 45 years in prison, the release said.  The sex abuse 2nd degree, a class B felony, carries a 25-year maximum sentence with a mandatory minimum period of confinement of 70% before being eligible for parole.
